Common washer problems we diagnose
We commonly diagnose:
- washer not draining
- washer not spinning
- washer stops during the cycle
- water left in the drum
- washer shaking or moving excessively
- leaking water
- washer not filling
- washer filling too slowly
- unusual grinding, knocking, or humming
- door or lid not locking
- error codes
- washer not starting
Why diagnosis matters
A drain error does not always mean the drain pump is bad.
A spin problem does not automatically mean the motor has failed.
Modern washers use pumps, sensors, locks, control boards, suspension systems, valves, and other components that interact with each other.
We identify the failure before recommending parts.
What we may check
The exact procedure depends on the washer and complaint, but may include:
- stored error codes
- drain performance
- pump operation
- water inlet operation
- door or lid locking
- suspension and drum movement
- motor operation
- electrical continuity and power
- hoses and visible restrictions
- control signals where appropriate
Brands
We service many common household appliance brands, including Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG and others.
Repair or replace?
Some washer repairs are inexpensive and make good economic sense. Others, especially on older or lower-cost machines, may approach the replacement value of the appliance.
We explain the repair cost before proceeding so you can decide whether the repair is worthwhile.

Washer repair FAQ
Why does my washer still have water inside?
Possible causes include a blocked drain path, pump problem, hose restriction, control issue, or another condition preventing the machine from completing the drain cycle.
Why does my washer keep trying to spin and stopping?
The machine may be detecting an unbalanced load, excessive movement, a suspension problem, sensor problem, motor issue, or another condition that prevents safe high-speed spin.
Can you diagnose error codes?
Yes. Error codes are useful diagnostic information, but they are not always a direct instruction to replace a specific part.
Should I keep using a washer that is leaking?
If there is active water leakage, stop using the washer until the source is identified. Continued operation can cause additional water damage or worsen the appliance problem.
